Position Overview: This role is responsible for managing a designated territory to meet sales objectives while ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through effective prospecting.
  • Drive additional revenue by introducing new products and services.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule of visits to existing clients.
  • Spot opportunities for growth within current customer accounts.
  • Prepare sales proposals and conduct business analyses.
Relationship Management
  • Build and nurture professional relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with existing customers to enhance their market presence.
  • Establish a partnership based on trust and confidence in The Hillman Group's offerings.
  • Foster relationships grounded in integrity and reliability.
Effective Communication
  • Engage in clear and effective communication with clients and management.
  • Maintain regular updates with the Field Sales Manager.
  • Keep management informed about competitive dynamics and market trends.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
Service Excellence
  • Deliver outstanding service to existing accounts.
  • Adhere to a regular call schedule with clients.
  • Ensure displays meet The Hillman Group's standards.
  • Update merchandising displays to align with current standards.
  • Handle special orders, pricing, and contractual agreements.
Administrative Duties
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks.
  • Fulfill business reporting obligations.
  • Maintain an organized monthly planner and manage expense reports.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams on special initiatives.
  • Stay informed about company policies, products, and operational procedures.

Qualifications:
  • At least 33 months of successful experience in a sales role.
  • Proven sales volume of $750,000 within a territory.
  • Strong sales acumen and understanding of marketing principles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Able to safely operate a vehicle and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows OS.
