Sales Leader for Public Sector Growth

Are you a seasoned sales leader with experience in driving growth in the public sector? Do you have a proven track record of successfully selling cybersecurity products to complex public sector entities? Dataminr is seeking a talented sales leader to spearhead the sales of our cutting-edge cybersecurity and physical security products to Public Sector clients in State, Local and Education government on the West Coast.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in enterprise software/SaaS sales, with at least 2 years of experience leading teams selling to and directly supporting SLED public sector organizations. They will also have knowledge of publicly available information and social media utilization efforts of public sector organizations, including SLED agencies, cyber security, transportation, law enforcement, emergency management, public information, and/or public health. Additionally, they will have extensive experience successfully selling into complex public sector entities with a strong track record of negotiation and closing with a deep understanding of sales process and business drivers for public sector clients.
In this role, you will develop strong vision and understanding of Dataminr's US SLED business and strategic goals. You will plan, implement, and execute on sales strategy, leveraging market knowledge and experience to convey product value proposition and positioning. You will motivate, develop, and drive a team of sellers and cultivate a performance-based culture built on providing value to public sector organizations. You will also develop and maintain high-level relationships with key prospective customers and organizational leaders. The annual base salary range for this position is $156,000 - $210,000. In addition to the benefits set forth above, the compensation package for this role also includes an annual commission target of $104,000 - $140,000 based on the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.
