Position Overview:

The Procurement Coordinator is tasked with interpreting demand signals and placing the necessary purchase orders with approved vendors and/or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). These purchase orders should be based on an analysis of demand forecasts, required lead times, and the anticipated need dates for the parts or equipment being ordered. Once orders are placed, all purchase orders must be monitored, and expected delivery dates should be communicated proactively to both internal and external stakeholders.
Why Choose Us:
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits for full-time employees.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) along with company-paid holidays.
  • Fully stocked breakroom and kitchen, with chef-prepared meals available daily.
  • State-of-the-art onsite fitness center (Corporate HQ) with instructor-led classes and gym stipends for remote employees.
  • Seasonal and year-round wellness initiatives.
  • Company-sponsored events including annual family gatherings and social hours.
  • Opportunities for community engagement through volunteering and local charity initiatives, offering 16 hours of paid volunteer time annually.
  • Career and professional development opportunities through conferences, events, seminars, and ongoing education.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain necessary approvals for purchases prior to placement from the approving manager and secure confirmations from suppliers post-order placement, including quantity ordered, specific SKU confirmation, requested delivery dates, and pricing.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate and analyze demand generation tools such as forecasts, historical sales data, and equipment movements, considering factors like seasonality and industry trends.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose actionable plans along with potential benefits of the recommended changes.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions as trained, designed to ensure best practices across the supply chain.
  • Attend regular team meetings to stay informed about internal communications, daily expectations, and performance metrics, as well as safety reminders.
  • Address inquiries and issues related to order tracking promptly while keeping your supervisor updated.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects aimed at developing a top-tier supply chain operation, from order placement through to shipment and receipt by the end customer.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs regarding supply, demand, and purchasing practices to facilitate timely, cost-effective, and compliant shipments of orders.
  • Ensure departmental activities comply with all company processes and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a growing team.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Results-oriented, utilizing knowledge to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
  • Proven time management abilities and adaptability to a dynamic business environment.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks with appropriate urgency, listening effectively, and using information to solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with basic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adjust as necessary to ensure accurate and timely shipment of orders.
  • Familiarity with various technologies, including ERP/MRP systems, EDI, forecasting tools, and customer portals.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while maintaining focus.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft and Google applications, is beneficial.
