We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Benefits Analyst to enhance our human resources department. The Benefits Analyst will oversee and manage the organization’s employee benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Benefits Director in the administration and assessment of various employee benefit offerings, including group health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute open enrollment processes, which encompass communications, training, implementation, processing, and finalization. Assist with the renewal process by providing necessary information to brokers and carriers and participating in presentations.
  • Evaluate and maintain the benefits administration module of Workday, including setup, case requests, testing, implementation, and daily utilization.
  • Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory requirements and implement necessary internal processes to meet deadlines, including 5500 filings, ACA, and other notification processes.
  • Oversee the leave of absence program, ensuring consistency across all divisions and compliance with relevant state and federal regulations, in collaboration with the Benefits Director. Propose modifications to enhance industry-leading practices.
  • Investigate and resolve advanced administrative issues with carrier representatives and brokers as needed. Provide support to employee-owners regarding complex benefit-related inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Assist the Benefits Director and Accounting Manager with inquiries and administration related to enterprise retirement plans (401k and ESOP), including employee-owner education, census and audit requests, plan document review, and record-keeping systems.
  • Support employee-owners during transitions of benefits due to termination, death, or other separations from the organization.
  • Engage in various projects related to benefits as assigned, including software implementation, potential acquisitions, and the introduction of new benefit programs.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws (particularly FMLA) and benefits, supported by 3-5 years of professional experience in Human Resources utilizing an HRIS for payroll and HR functions.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Google.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, with a strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, mathematical, and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to build strong working relationships with internal partners (payroll, finance, HR) and external partners, collaborating to develop best-in-class practices and offerings.
  • Adaptability and effective interaction in diverse settings while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various company locations as required.
