We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Benefits Analyst to enhance our human resources department. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the company's employee benefits offerings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Benefits Director in the administration and assessment of various employee benefit schemes, including health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate the open enrollment process, which encompasses communication, training, implementation, processing, and finalization. Aid in the renewal process by providing necessary information to brokers and carriers and participating in presentations.
  • Assess and maintain the benefits administration module of Workday, focusing on setup, case requests, testing, implementation, and daily usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements is met promptly and implement necessary internal processes to adhere to deadlines, including 5500 filings, ACA, and other notification processes.
  • Oversee the leave of absence program, ensuring uniformity across all divisions and compliance with relevant state and federal regulations, in collaboration with the Benefits Director. Recommend modifications to the program to maintain industry-leading practices.
  • Investigate and resolve complex administrative issues with carrier representatives and brokers as necessary. Provide support to employees with advanced benefits-related inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Assist the Benefits Director and Accounting Manager with inquiries and administration related to enterprise retirement plans (401k and ESOP), including employee education, census and audit requests, plan document review, and collaboration with brokers for optimal offerings.
  • Guide employees through the transition of benefits upon termination, death, or other forms of separation from the company.
  • Engage in various projects related to benefits as assigned, including software implementation, potential acquisitions, and the introduction of new benefit programs.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Human Resources, with a solid understanding of labor law (particularly FMLA) and benefits, utilizing an HRIS for payroll and HR functions.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite and Google.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, with a keen attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal, mathematical, and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to build effective working relationships with internal (payroll, finance, HR) and external partners, collaborating to establish best practices and offerings.
  • Adaptability and the ability to interact effectively in diverse settings while remaining flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various company locations as required.
