Position Overview

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with spearheading the growth of membership within the Cardinal Health Network by engaging new physician practice clients through direct interactions, whether in-person or via phone, to achieve both personal and organizational sales targets.

This role involves identifying potential clients, advocating for, and marketing Cardinal Health Network solutions to prospective customers across various levels, including the integration of new practices into the existing network.

Key Responsibilities

Expand the Cardinal Health Network through the strategic onboarding of specialty practices and the enhancement of current practices via market partnerships that aim to meet or surpass sales goals.

  • Assist in formulating functional strategies as needed.
  • Foster robust, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations, while developing a comprehensive understanding of their needs and the product offerings.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for prospective clients of Cardinal Health Network.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive files for new target accounts.
  • Generate and cultivate new business development leads.
  • Achieve sales objectives by closing business deals.
  • Collaborate in operational meetings to devise concepts, strategies, and service definitions.
  • Utilize sound financial judgment while attending client meetings and industry conferences to promote business growth.
  • Initiate proposals and engage in the proposal writing process as necessary.
  • Prepare or assist in drafting pricing proposals, terms of sale, and timelines in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in bid defense and capabilities presentations.
  • Investigate service-related issues and ensure satisfactory resolution of client concerns.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Work effectively as a team member through remote collaboration.
  • Partner with other business units within Cardinal Health Specialty to drive integrated selling opportunities to closure.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in specialty healthcare sales or physician recruitment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • General and clinical understanding of the specialty market and products.
  • Preferred experience in community oncology operations.
  • Exceptional planning, forecasting, financial acumen, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of creating mutually beneficial strategies for Cardinal Health and its clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily in a virtual capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of brand promotion.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and address client needs.
  • Resourceful networking capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and remain self-motivated.
Remote Work

This position allows for remote work from home.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $107,800 and $165,000, with eligibility for bonuses. Cardinal Health provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
