Role Overview:

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will be instrumental in propelling growth within Mazzetti's primary sectors, specifically in Healthcare and Life Sciences, particularly on the West Coast. This position entails the formulation and implementation of extensive business development strategies, necessitating a profound comprehension of the regional market dynamics, nurturing connections with pivotal stakeholders, and synchronizing initiatives with the overarching national business development framework. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of achieving sales objectives, performing market analysis, and positioning the organization for successful project endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a regional business development outreach plan that aligns with Mazzetti's national objectives to stimulate growth in critical market sectors.

Relationship Management: Establish and sustain relationships with essential stakeholders, including owners, architects, contractors, construction managers, and project managers, to identify and leverage business opportunities.

Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate with technical business development directors and other regional leaders to ensure unified client relationship management and pursuit strategies.

Market Analysis: Conduct continuous market analysis to remain informed about industry trends, client requirements, and competitor movements.

Decision Leadership: Spearhead Go/No-Go discussions for significant pursuits, evaluating potential impacts on existing proposals and future opportunities.

Capture Strategy: Create detailed capture strategies to position the organization for success in long-term projects.

Lead Management: Identify and monitor leads, transforming them into actionable opportunities for the organization.

Proposal Assistance: Offer support to internal teams on proposal submissions, utilizing insights into client priorities and market conditions.

Client Interaction: Coordinate with clients for interview preparation and requirements, providing guidance and support to Mazzetti personnel as necessary.

Networking: Build and maintain connections with industry partners, including minority and small business firms, for potential collaboration opportunities.

CRM Oversight: Document relevant information and insights in the CRM system to guide future strategies and initiatives.

Professional Development: Facilitate business development training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Event Management: Identify and engage in key industry events, coordinating staff involvement, presentations, client gatherings, and industry interactions.

Client Engagement Initiatives: Organize and manage client engagement activities such as lunch and learn sessions, workshops, and other events to strengthen relationships and drive business opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within the Healthcare or Life Sciences sector.

A proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales goals and fostering revenue growth.

A comprehensive understanding of corporate structures within the targeted regions and familiarity with decision-making processes.

Willingness to travel up to 35%, including local, regional, and occasional national events.

Additional Qualifications:

Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Proficiency in CRM software, preferably Deltek Vantagepoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and execute tactically.

The typical salary range for a Vice President of Strategic Partnerships in California is $150,000 - $200,000. The final compensation may vary based on your experience and job-related skills. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
