Vice President – Business Development & Innovation
What We Provide
URW's Media and Experiential Sales Division ('Westfield Rise') is redefining how brands engage with consumers through digital out-of-home (DOOH) media, experiential activations, and long-term integrated partnerships at URW's iconic venues. Westfield Rise's comprehensive offerings include:
- Advanced design and technology-driven digital signage – The Westfield Network.
- Large-scale DOOH formats.
- In-center static advertising inventory.
- Prominent exterior signage and billboards.
- Experiential activations and pop-up events.
- Sponsorship and long-term partnership opportunities.
- Strong collaboration with leasing, tenants, center marketing, real estate development, and event production teams.

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development and Innovation to join URW's Westfield Rise. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, this role will be pivotal in crafting and executing an innovative go-to-market strategy, developing compelling vertical sales narratives, strategies, and products to support the sales team in acquiring new partnerships, monetizing existing relationships, and generating new revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Vertical Sales Strategies – Develop and implement vertical industry strategies (e.g., Luxury, Automotive) and go-to-market narratives that demonstrate how advertisers in each sector can collaborate with Westfield Rise to enhance brand impact and engagement. These strategies will utilize the full spectrum of the URW/Westfield Rise ecosystem, including DOOH, experiential, pop-ups, events, integrations, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Sponsorship Development – Create thoughtful sponsorship opportunities for verticals to integrate into Westfield locations. Collaborate with design and development teams to proactively address development projects, ensuring alignment with Westfield Rise vertical opportunities.
- Data and Insights – Incorporate rich data and insights to support vertical narratives.
- Collaboration with Sales Team – Work closely with the sales team to understand needs, opportunities, and market feedback, enhancing vertical narratives. Partner with the sales team to launch new vertical narratives and opportunities.
- Project Development Roadmap – Develop and manage a roadmap for vertical narrative rollout and product development requests to ensure timely achievement of key milestones.
- Innovation – Continuously seek new capabilities and innovations to maximize market opportunities for Westfield Rise. Collaborate with the SVP, Tech Team, and Operations to transition from ideation to pilot and execution phases for new capabilities.
- Support for Vertical RFPs – Assist the sales team with strategic RFP opportunities to optimize revenue growth and sales performance.
- Leadership and Management – Inspire, collaborate, lead, and manage a Director of Business Development and Innovation as a strategic partner.
- Market Intelligence – Develop a deep understanding of market trends and competitive analysis, focusing on media, experiential, sponsorship innovation, and other properties.

- Minimum of fifteen years of experience in Marketing, Media, and Partnerships.
- Extensive experience in developing go-to-market strategies and narratives that support sales organizations or marketing teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving innovation through business development, product innovation, and new partnerships to enhance revenue.
- Proven ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Reputation for making informed decisions that advance business objectives.
- Able to leverage key industry relationships to uncover new product and revenue opportunities.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new product solutions.
- Exceptional presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.

$200,000 – $250,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
