San Francisco, California, United States Strava Full time

About the Role:

Strava is the leading digital community for active people with more than 125 million athletes, in more than 190 countries. The platform offers a holistic view of your active lifestyle, no matter where you live, which sport you love and/or what device you use. Everyone belongs on Strava when they are pursuing an active life.

Strava is looking for a passionate individual to join our team and help us build the future of connected fitness. We are creating new ways to empower and entertain the global community of athletes by placing Strava at the center of our ecosystem - devices, digital fitness apps, content, connected equipment, gyms, and more. We are passionate about bringing new and significant experiences to athletes doing what they love.

As the Senior Partner Manager, Connected Partnerships, you will be responsible for the technical aspect of driving Stava's success globally through partnership and product, through our External API and innovative integrations.

This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Identify and integrate new strategic partners helping put Strava at the center of connected fitness.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with our key partners and build a deep understanding and connection across all relevant teams within the Partners org.
  • Seek new ways to activate and deepen our current partnerships to help grow the number of athletes integrated to Strava.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to help build successful go-to-market campaigns for new features or integration moments.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to identify new opportunities and be the liaison with the partner to bring those to fruition.
  • Triage and communicate issues with Partners integrations, with a keen sense of when to escalate internally + externally and with the appropriate level of criticality.

You will be successful here by:

  • Having a strategic mentality and a knack for driving stakeholders to consensus on important issues.
  • Being self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable working in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
  • Exhibiting a comfortable approach to working across cross-functional teams and being able to creatively problem-solve.
  • Working in a highly-organized manner, being capable of running multiple projects at once and prioritizing among many opportunities.
  • Possessing excellent written, oral communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Listening strategically, modeling optimism and embodying our ABCs.

We're excited about you because:

  • You have 5+ years of experience working in a strategic partnerships and/or business development role.
  • You take initiative, proactively finding opportunities and potential challenges to drive success.
  • You are highly organized, ensuring seamless project management and strategic execution.
  • You adeptly navigate both external and internal relationships, ensuring collaboration and alignment across all collaborators.
  • You have excellent communication skills, effectively building strong, collaborative relationships.

About Strava

Strava is Swedish for "strive," which epitomizes who we are and what we do. We're a passionate and committed team, unified by our mission to connect athletes to what motivates them and help them find their personal best. With billions of activity uploads from all over the world, we have a humbling and adventurous vision: to be the record of the world's athletic activities and the technology that makes every effort count.

Strava builds software that makes the best part of our athletes' days even better. Just as we're deeply committed to unlocking their potential, we're dedicated to providing a world-class, inclusive workplace where our employees can grow and thrive, too. We're backed by Sequoia Capital, TCV, Madrone Partners and Jackson Square Ventures, and we're expanding in order to exceed the needs of our growing community of global athletes. Our culture reflects our community. We are continuously striving to hire and engage diverse teammates from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives because we know we are a stronger team together.

Despite challenges in the world around us, we are continuing to grow camaraderie and positivity within our culture, and we are unified in our commitment to becoming an antiracist company. We are differentiated by our truly people-first approach, our compassionate leadership, and our belief that we can bring joy and inspiration to athletes' lives — now more than ever.
