Strategic Partnerships Manager

This position is designed to oversee the management of NerdWallet's small and medium-sized business (SMB) Credit Card alliances. The individual in this role will take charge of the daily operations related to these partnerships, establishing themselves as a reliable and consultative resource for our collaborators. Responsibilities include implementing NerdWallet's strategic vision and driving partnership expansion through both quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify and propose revenue-generating opportunities to current partners within the SMB Credit Cards sector. Additionally, this role will involve scouting and initiating new partnerships that align with NerdWallet's long-term objectives.

In this capacity, you will have complete ownership of all Credit Card partnerships, encompassing both internal processes and external partner relations. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics and proactively seek avenues to enhance value and foster growth. Analyzing on-site performance metrics and leading monthly reviews with both internal stakeholders and external partners will be essential to communicate key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement in conversion rates and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and strengthen NerdWallet's relationships with current Credit Card partners to achieve revenue and performance goals across multiple significant partnerships.
  • Identify and propose innovative growth strategies to existing partners, enhancing the value of the partnership and ultimately driving increased revenue.
  • Conduct monthly performance evaluations with partners and internal leadership to analyze key performance drivers and explore opportunities for improved conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with content teams to enhance existing Credit Card placements and suggest creative new growth opportunities.
  • Act as the intermediary between NerdWallet's Content, Quality Assurance, Product teams, and Credit Card partners to ensure optimal user experience and effective product positioning on the NerdWallet platform.
  • Negotiate new pricing frameworks with partners to foster additional revenue streams for NerdWallet's SMB Credit Card division.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in partner management, affiliate marketing, or a similar role within a comparable organization or relevant startup.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
