The Chief Human Resources Officer will strategize, direct, and oversee the policies, initiatives, and personnel of the Human Resources (HR) division, ensuring adherence to legal standards and the effective execution of the organization's mission and talent strategy.


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new personnel within the department.
  • Manages the daily operations of the department to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
  • Delivers constructive and timely performance assessments.
  • Addresses disciplinary actions and terminations in line with organizational policies.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively with leadership to grasp the organization's objectives and strategies concerning staffing, recruitment, and retention.
  • Plans, directs, develops, coordinates, and executes policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to fulfill the organization's human resources compliance and strategic requirements.
  • Administers or supervises the administration of human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave; disciplinary issues; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends, including reviewing reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Identifies staffing and recruitment needs; formulates and implements best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Maintains awareness of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resource changes to supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred in business management or human resources.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate clearly and effectively in face-to-face interactions, provide precise directions, and communicate professionally over the phone.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance are required; compliance with the Professional Appearance in the Workplace policy is expected.
  • Ability to concentrate on fine details with occasional interruptions and maintain focus on tasks for extended periods.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks; a self-starter who is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
  • Capacity to remember multiple verbal and written tasks/assignments over several days and occasionally for several months.
  • Exhibits good character, personal attributes, and mannerisms to serve as a positive role model for clients and families, as well as a professional for supervised staff.
  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or individuals.
  • Proficient in standard business software, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases.
