The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Space Force (HQSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Chief, HQ USSF Crisis Action Team, Continuity of Operations Program Manager (NH , GS 14/15 Equivalent).


Description:


This position serves as a Management & Program Analyst in the Office of the HQ USSF Chief Operations Officer (COO), Current Operations Division (S33).

Manage the development and execution of Headquarters Space Force (HQ USSF) Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Space Force Crisis Action Team (SFCAT) Programs.

Develop SFCAT training program, define and manage position requirements, and ensure active participation from all Directorates.

Analyze data and retrieve reports to ensure all SFCAT members meet HQ Dept of the Air Force (HAF) COOP (SAF/AAC) training requirements, assess program efficiency, and identify best practices and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to USSF Office of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) senior leadership.

Maintain the Emergency Planning Coordinators (EPCs), SFCAT Superintendents, and Emergency Relocation Staff (ERS) positions in ERoSter in coordination with HAF COOP Office, granting appropriate accesses.

Coordinate schedules across all HQ USSF Directorates to develop the monthly SFCAT On-Call Letter.

Coordinate Space Staff General Office (GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) training and site orientations for and support to Joint Staff continuity requirements.

Integrate strategic planning and long-term USSF objectives to develop real-world training events for CAT/COOP exercises.

Ideal Candidate:
Space operations experience.
Continuity of operations and emergency preparedness experience.
Minimum of an accredited bachelor's degree preferred.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense processes and Department of Air Force policy, procedures, and schedules for developing plans in support of major Space Force missions and operations plans.
  • Knowledge of Headquarters Space Force (HQ USSF) Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Space Force Crisis Action Team (SFCAT) Programs.
  • Knowledge of SFCAT training programs, defining and managing position requirements and ensuring active participation from all Directorates.
  • Knowledge of analyzing data and retrieving reports to ensure all SFCAT members meet HQ Dept of the Air Force (HAF) COOP (SAF/AAC) training requirements, assess program efficiency, and identify best practices and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to USSF Office of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Space Force program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
  • Knowledge of Space Force installations to include the interaction of Total Force (Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve).
  • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and
decision-making.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintains good working relations.
