Position Overview:
The Executive Vice President of Operations will act as the primary onsite authority and will report to the Corporate Team of Discovery Land Company, including a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the project, managing finance, accounting, development, human resources, and information technology.
  • Ensure timely and precise production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for executive leadership.
  • Maintain accuracy in the project's monthly business plan, incorporating both historical data and forecasts.
  • Make critical decisions regarding cost control and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to prepare the capital budget and planning, including leasing and financing strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance; comprehensive knowledge in financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and taxation.
  • Experience in complex environments during periods of transformation; familiarity with real estate and/or hospitality is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and act as a strategic partner to senior executives.
  • Strong work ethic, deadline orientation, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering sound relationships with management, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a similar role within a large-scale real estate developer, resort, or club is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Intact, Timberline, Jonas, and Adaptive Planning is a plus.
