Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Vice President to oversee the operational performance of our multifamily portfolio. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Area Vice Presidents and Regional Supervisors
    • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members
    • Conduct regular coaching, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations
    • Manage HR issues and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Client Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners and clients
    • Ensure owner/client expectations are met or exceeded
    • Provide visible, ethical leadership and promote a culture of exceptional service
  • Systems Management
    • Utilize and optimize technology solutions to extract and monitor performance analytics
    • Partner with stakeholders to identify new opportunities and optimize relationships, revenue, and value
  • Reporting
    • Monitor monthly financial reviews and ensure sites are on track to meet budget goals
    • Benchmark property performance against regional and national averages
    • Oversee policies for property operations and risk management
  • Financial Management
    • Identify and implement new business opportunities for increasing revenue potential
    • Lead multifamily portfolio in annual budget review and preparation
    • Analyze internal business processes and develop initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Administrative Duties
    • Create and implement action plans for underperforming assets
    • Monitor expense controls and implement initiatives to achieve or exceed budget
    • Draft annual department operating regional budget
  • Business Development/Due Diligence & Transitions
    • Assist clients in identifying new opportunities and help underwrite deals based on operational knowledge and market conditions
    • Work closely with the Transitions and Due Diligence team to assign walkers/auditors for upcoming communities
    • Attend DD, prepping, and task completion items for property transitions
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of multifamily property management leadership success with a large portfolio
  • College degree in communications, business, or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), and Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) preferred
  • Active/participatory apartment association membership preferred
