The Senior Vice President of the Strategic Initiatives Office plays a crucial role in steering and executing the strategic priorities across multiple business sectors. This position is dedicated to orchestrating and implementing initiatives that significantly contribute to the growth and operational efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of a holistic view of high-priority strategic initiatives across various sectors including banking, insurance, financial planning, and investments, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Work closely with essential stakeholders to define strategic priorities, facilitate resource allocation, and prioritize initiatives based on their potential impact and alignment with the overarching strategy.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across diverse business units, promoting the necessary alignment and autonomy for the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and track a varied portfolio of deliverables, employing experimentation and 'test and learn' methodologies to refine future initiatives and enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with Agile Delivery Practice leaders to optimize operational models, ensuring the seamless integration of strategic initiatives within the organizational framework.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions among senior leadership and lead meetings to ensure consistency and alignment across different business areas.
  • Support the prioritization of strategic business initiatives, addressing risks and dependencies while ensuring alignment with both technology and business strategies.
  • Develop and implement alignment strategies against a multi-year roadmap, ensuring coherence with business, technology, and product objectives.
  • Act as a change agent, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages the generation and implementation of innovative ideas and solutions while effectively managing conflicts and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of the Office of Strategy Management to drive a coordinated and efficient strategic planning process.
  • Work with the Vice President of the Office of Strategy Management to devise plans for ecosystem governance management work streams that will facilitate the achievement of strategic goals.
  • Drive consensus and influence decisions by bridging differing perspectives and leveraging sound judgment to identify optimal solutions.
  • Engage closely with the Senior Vice President of Technology, the Senior Vice President of Information, and the Senior Vice President of Digital Solutions Strategy, coordinating and partnering with these key stakeholders regularly.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Lead teams in Change Management and Program Management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business, program management, or technology environments preferred; 5+ years in project management or business experience preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP certification required; Agile certification (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP, etc.) required; Prosci certification preferred.

  • Experience in cultivating strong, trusted partnerships with senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Adept at developing multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with technical expertise.
  • Ability to drive change and foster an inclusive environment for innovation.
  • Expertise in strategic planning with the capability to identify patterns and connections in complex environments.
  • Ability to effectively challenge and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in business readiness planning and execution, including communication, training, change management, and benefits realization planning.
