Your Role

We are in search of a seasoned leader in channel and partnerships sales to oversee the Ecosystems Channel Business Managers within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) sales sectors. This team is tasked with fostering a preference for Palo Alto Networks within our SLED partner ecosystem, leading a group of Channel Business Managers. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in leading SLED channel partnerships teams, with a proven history of executing business plans to achieve targets. Candidates should demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking regarding business, solutions, and technical challenges, with the capability to construct and communicate compelling value propositions, while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance partner alignment with Palo Alto Networks. We seek candidates who are innovative, assertive, and effective.

Your Contributions
  • Lead a team of SLED Channel Business Managers to formulate and implement business strategies focused on high-growth solutions.
  • Develop world-class relationships and provide thought leadership across SLED Ecosystems partners to boost revenue and create additional business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Palo Alto Networks SLED Leadership teams (Northeast, Southeast, Central, West), Partner teams, and Marketing teams to pinpoint key growth areas, devise a strategic plan, and establish an enablement model.
  • As part of the Americas team, this role requires a mindset aligned with Americas leadership, emphasizing collaboration with cross-functional groups for success.
  • In partnership with stakeholders, define tailored value propositions and create comprehensive go-to-market strategies that enhance our marketplace value while generating new revenue opportunities with our partners.
Qualifications

Professional Background

  • Over 10 years of experience in technology channel partnerships/sales, successfully implementing channel strategies to significantly increase sales.
  • Proven business leader with the ability to influence and build relationships with decision-makers at all levels within partner and prospect organizations.
  • Exceptional skills in relationship and partner development.
  • Experience in formulating a partnership vision, strategy, and execution plan.
  • Track record of driving enterprise sales through channel partners.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding channel sales or direct sales quotas.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and derive insights for improvement.

The channel organization at Palo Alto Networks serves as a strategic pillar for our ongoing growth in cybersecurity and is essential to fulfilling our mission. Channel development acts as an extension of the territory sales team, aiming to train and empower our channel partners in the use and sales of our products.

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The starting base salary or base salary plus commission target is expected to be competitive, along with potential restricted stock units and bonuses.
