Sales Executive for SLED Accounts

At Staples, we are committed to fostering strong business relationships. As a Sales Executive focused on SLED (State, Local, and Education) accounts, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in proactive outreach within your designated territory to enhance existing client relationships and acquire new accounts.
- Utilize a strategic approach to identify and penetrate key sites, ensuring a robust onboarding process for new clients.
- Collaborate closely with Account Management to develop effective strategies for site acquisition, leveraging insights from Sales Operations.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to strengthen relationships and drive sales growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of contract and cooperative purchasing options within your assigned regions.
- Influence pricing decisions to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Manage your sales pipeline effectively to convert opportunities into closed deals.
Sales Skills:
Utilize advanced selling techniques to uncover client needs and effectively communicate the value of Staples' offerings. You should be adept at overcoming objections and closing sales.
- Employ designated sales tools to prioritize tasks and document customer interactions.
Collaboration:
Work in tandem with customer support and category specialists to facilitate deal progression and ensure compliance with new accounts and programs.
- Leverage your understanding of the industry buying process to assist clients in product selection and standardization.
- Contribute to generating significant revenue through effective account management.
- Implement strategies defined by senior leadership to drive business objectives.
- Incorporate feedback from prospects to refine your sales approach.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
