Position: Field Sales Executive

As a Field Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to engage directly with SMB accounts to promote our leading NoSQL database, Capella. You will be an integral member of a field sales team that has positioned Couchbase as the world's first Engagement Database. Your role will involve driving sales opportunities and effectively communicating the value of our products and services.

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts and establish new client relationships to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Deliver presentations about the company and its product offerings.
  • Conduct high-level product demonstrations.
  • Travel to client locations as necessary.
  • Maintain daily activity records in the CRM system, tracking interactions with prospects and clients.
  • Manage sales opportunities and provide accurate forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience transitioning from inside sales to a field sales role (minimum 1-2 years of overall sales closing experience).
  • Proven track record of generating new business and building a sales pipeline in a competitive environment.
  • Familiarity with Strategic Selling methodologies (M-H, MEDDIC preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team player.
  • Self-driven, independent, and high-performing individual with a quick learning curve.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to demonstrate value to clients.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and high-performing individual with a quick learning curve.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive work environment that promotes personal and professional growth.
  • Experience selling cloud solutions is advantageous.

Compensation:

The anticipated starting base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 USD. This base salary is part of a comprehensive total rewards package that may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and additional benefits.
