Role Overview:
The Head of Content Strategy will spearhead our educational and content initiatives, aimed at leveraging GuideStone's distinctive market position. This role is pivotal in assisting both prospective and current members, as well as ministry partners, in recognizing the value of our services and how we can support them throughout their journey.
This position is responsible for leading teams in the development of content, thought leadership, and educational materials that empower our audience to achieve greater financial security and resilience. The individual will establish a strategic vision for producing original, engaging, and informative content across various channels, while also sharing impactful stories from our members and ministry partners. A strong leader is essential to cultivate a motivated, high-performing, and engaged marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, development, execution, and refinement of a cohesive content, education, and thought leadership strategy that positions GuideStone as a trusted authority among members and ministry partners across diverse platforms. Direct the educational strategy, content generation, and dissemination across owned and paid channels, ensuring our members and ministry partners are well-informed to navigate their journeys effectively. In alignment with GuideStone's overarching marketing and branding strategy, create new content, update existing materials, and curate third-party content for the Gloo and Lily Grant initiatives. Implement strategies to enhance member and ministry partner loyalty, satisfaction, and lifetime value through effective communication and personalized experiences. Develop annual and quarterly marketing and content plans informed by insights, target personas, and organizational needs. Utilize data-driven insights to analyze content performance, manage engagement, and conduct regular audits to optimize the content and education strategy. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts across the organization to identify and promote thought leaders in relevant topics. Maintain a deep understanding of GuideStone's audience segments, business requirements, and motivations to inform the creation of compelling content strategies for all product lines and channels. Measure and drive tangible business outcomes and ROI through effective content marketing and educational initiatives. Lead and nurture a high-performing team of marketing professionals. Responsible for supervising and evaluating the performance of assigned staff. Foster relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. Preferred: Master's degree. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Must be affiliated with a faith-aligned church. Preferred: Experience in the financial services or insurance sectors. Exceptional writing and editing skills. Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas and data clearly across various formats. Proven ability to manage workflow processes to meet deadlines and client expectations. Skilled in transforming complex concepts into clear and engaging communication materials for diverse audiences. Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and gain support across the organization. Passionate about GuideStone's mission and capable of driving brand impact. Willingness to travel up to 15% annually. Proficient in MS Office and relevant GuideStone applications. Must maintain confidentiality regarding GuideStone's business matters.-
