Position Overview:

The Head of AI Strategy and Innovation will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by identifying and assessing opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence technologies for enhanced operational efficiency and strategic differentiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with senior leadership and departmental heads to pinpoint areas where AI can drive significant improvements and competitive advantage.
  • Business Case Development: Formulate comprehensive business cases for selected AI initiatives, encompassing financial, strategic, and risk assessments to prioritize projects and gain executive endorsement.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Create a strategic roadmap for prioritized AI projects, ensuring alignment with the long-term objectives of the organization.
  • Project Leadership: Design project plans for prioritized AI initiatives and oversee their execution utilizing both internal and external resources as necessary.
  • External Partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with external AI technology providers to ensure successful implementation of projects.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of AI initiatives, making adjustments as needed for continuous improvement.
  • AI Advocacy: Provide training and mentorship within the organization to enhance understanding of AI capabilities and identify future opportunities for operational efficiency and differentiation.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI technologies and trends, assessing their relevance and potential impact on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. An MBA or Ph.D. is advantageous.
  • Experience: Over 10 years in a large-scale global organization in program management, general management, or process improvement roles, with at least 2 years focused on AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to influence and engage across organizational levels, demonstrating effective change management capabilities.
