Position Title: Head of AI Strategy and Innovation

Reporting To: EVP, Strategy & Business Development

Location: Dallas, TX / Austin, TX

Role Summary:

The Head of AI Strategy and Innovation will spearhead the identification and assessment of opportunities to leverage AI technologies for enhancing operational efficiency and establishing strategic advantages. The ideal candidate will possess robust strategic insight, extensive knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in a business context, and a proven track record of guiding transformative initiatives from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to pinpoint, comprehend, and outline processes where AI can deliver significant value for Enovis; engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to formulate and execute implementation strategies that align with other technology initiatives; and manage the requisite change processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opportunity Identification: Partner with executive and functional leaders to uncover areas where AI technologies can enhance efficiency and market positioning.

• Business Case Development: Construct business cases for selected AI projects, encompassing financial, strategic, and risk factors to prioritize initiatives and gain executive endorsement.

• Strategic Roadmap Development: Create a strategic roadmap for prioritized AI projects, ensuring alignment with Enovis' overarching business objectives.

• Project Leadership: Formulate project plans for prioritized AI opportunities and lead their execution utilizing both internal and external resources as necessary.

• External Partnerships: Cultivate and oversee relationships with external AI vendors and technology partners to guarantee successful project outcomes.

• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of AI initiatives, making adjustments as needed for ongoing improvement.

• AI Advocacy: Provide training, education, and mentorship within Enovis to enhance understanding of AI capabilities and identify future opportunities for efficiency and differentiation.

• Technology Evaluation: Remain informed about the latest AI technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact and relevance to our business needs.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline. An MBA or Ph.D. is advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

• Over 10 years of experience in a large-scale global organization in program management, general management, or process improvement roles.

• At least 2 years of experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including leadership of successful AI projects.

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

• Comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing principles and demonstrated experience in driving significant process improvements.

• Proven ability to operate across organizational boundaries, achieving results through influence and fostering engagement.

• Strong change management capabilities.

• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels, from front-line staff to senior executives.

Travel Requirements:

Travel requirements will vary based on location, but it is anticipated that travel will be necessary to engage with key stakeholders.
