POSITION OBJECTIVE:


The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the store manager with overseeing sales, operational efficiency, asset security, and human resource management to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.


FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops weekly staffing schedules to guarantee adequate floor coverage within budgetary constraints; verifies time records and other payroll documents for precision and submits as necessary.
  • Enhances customer service by ensuring team members are welcoming and assisting patrons; addresses customer inquiries and issues in a courteous and prompt manner.
  • Oversees team members involved in sales, inventory management, cash handling, or customer service tasks.
  • Exemplifies sales goals by employing various techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating or acquiring products based on customer preferences.
  • Ensures the store maintains an attractive appearance, upholding high standards of cleanliness, visual merchandising, and organization.
  • Trains team members on visual merchandising practices to guarantee the store is consistently well-presented.
  • Monitors team sales performance and productivity; recognizes and communicates performance feedback to team members; inspires and coaches team members to reach their full potential.
  • Executes all financial operations effectively and in compliance with company policy, including cash handling, pricing adjustments, and merchandise management; ensures all register transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Manages all operational tasks including inventory intake/distribution, daily restocking of merchandise, and preparation for physical inventory counts.
  • Facilitates and/or oversees the general operations of the store, ensuring that it is well-maintained and operates safely and efficiently.
  • Supports adherence to all relevant laws, loss prevention policies, operational procedures, and controls; conducts team training as necessary to reinforce proper protocols.
  • Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and development of store personnel; interprets key performance metrics and provides coaching as required; offers feedback to the Store Manager for employee performance evaluations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
This role may be available across various brands. Some responsibilities may differ depending on the brand.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years of prior experience in retail or sales management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to various locations as needed
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Familiarity with the administrative aspects of store operations
  • Capable of interacting with customers, standing and moving on the sales floor and in the stockroom, operating the register, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, handling merchandise, climbing, reaching, and pushing/pulling
  • Regular attendance is essential to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
The wage range for this position is $24.00 to $30.00. The wage rates for successful candidates will be determined based on their individual qualifications for the role.
