Key Responsibilities

Express is in search of a Retail Sales Supervisor.

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations on the sales floor and in the stockroom, while also playing a vital role in training team members and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Fostering and inspiring associates to reach their maximum sales potential.
  • Providing immediate coaching and training to store associates to guarantee efficient operations, superior customer service, and effective stockroom management.
  • Collaborating with Store Management to offer constructive feedback on associate performance.
  • Facilitating training for associates on store procedures, product knowledge, policies, and operational standards.
  • Implementing action plans to enhance performance outcomes.
  • Managing all facets of daily store operations.
  • Ensuring adequate associate coverage to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Supervising and approving the checkout process.
  • Assisting with merchandise flow, including shipment processing, replenishment, and omni-channel operations.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the customer service provided by team members.
  • Creating effective schedules to ensure optimal associate placement.
  • Encouraging and maintaining an environment focused on delivering exceptional in-store customer experiences.
  • Resolving customer service issues effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Leading by example in customer experience practices.
  • Exhibiting expert knowledge of products, company policies, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Providing leadership and support during product launches, visual merchandising updates, and signage placements.
  • Performing other essential functions as directed by management.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a retail environment.
  • Proficient in the use of technology (iPads, registers).
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
  • Meets physical requirements for the role.
Critical Skills & Attributes
  • Prior retail experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, peers, and supervisors.
  • Proven track record of sales accountability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work well within a team.
  • Capability to multitask and manage multiple customers and processes simultaneously.
