We are currently seeking a Jewelry Retail Operations Supervisor for our store in Brea Mall. The ideal candidate will possess experience in fine jewelry or luxury sales, showcasing a passion for the industry and a desire for professional growth within our organization.
The selected Jewelry Retail Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager with responsibilities that include hiring, training, and mentoring store Sales Associates. In the absence of the Store Manager, this position will oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in the recruitment process by evaluating applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting candidate assessments.
- Provide comprehensive training to new associates on store protocols and company policies, offering constructive feedback on sales techniques.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to coach and develop team members in sales strategies, operational procedures, and career advancement opportunities.
- Manage daily retail operations, prioritizing tasks and assisting with staff scheduling as needed.
- Participate in store meetings, uphold sales floor standards, and assist with payroll tasks.
- Act as the first point of contact for challenging associate or customer interactions, overseeing discount approvals in the Store Manager's absence.
- Develop an extensive knowledge of products to enhance customer experiences, ensuring all associates are well-versed in the Ben Bridge history, mission, and values.
- Lead by example, adhering to store expectations and company policies.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, leveraging individual strengths to achieve store objectives.
- Oversee visual merchandising updates and ensure compliance with marketing standards.
- Maintain organization in the back office and storage areas of the store.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and merchandise security.
- Serve as a Keyholder, responsible for store opening and closing procedures, and available for after-hours maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or customer service.
- 1-2 years of experience in training, coaching, or recruitment.
- High School diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Proficient in technology, including CRM platforms and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Possession of AJP certification or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
- GIA certifications or equivalent are advantageous.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and manage escalated situations effectively.
- Adaptability to work with diverse personalities.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in collaborative problem-solving across various functional teams.
- Ability to mentor team members in developing sales skills to meet store goals.
- Understanding of business acumen and key performance indicators.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
- Capability to bend, stoop, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Shift times may vary.
$25.49 per hour plus monthly sales bonuses.
As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for health and welfare benefits, including sales bonuses, monthly incentives, and employee merchandise discounts. Additional benefits encompass paid training, paid time off for vacation, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty. Training includes certification from the Gemological Institute of America after one year of service. In addition to medical, dental, and vision insurance, Ben Bridge Jeweler offers a 401(k) plan with company matching.
