Role Summary

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor.

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations on the sales floor and in the stockroom, while also contributing to the training of team members and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in nurturing and motivating team members to maximize sales performance.
  • Provide immediate coaching and training to store associates to ensure effective floor operations, customer service, stockroom management, and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with Store Management to give feedback on team performance.
  • Support the training of associates on store operations, product knowledge, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement action plans that enhance performance outcomes.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations.
  • Ensure adequate team coverage to foster a positive customer experience.
  • Manage and authorize the checkout process.
  • Assist with merchandise flow, including shipment, replenishment, and omni-channel operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the customer service provided by team members.
  • Create an effective schedule that places the right associates in the right roles at the right times.
  • Promote and maintain an environment focused on delivering outstanding in-store customer experiences.
  • Effectively resolve customer service challenges to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Lead by example in modeling the customer experience standards.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of products, company policies, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Provide leadership and support during product launches, visual merchandising updates, and signage placements.
  • Other essential functions may be assigned by your supervisor.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Years of Experience: 1 year preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of technology (iPad, registers).
  • Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
  • Meets physical requirements.
Critical Skills & Attributes
  • Previous retail experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrated accountability for sales results.
  • Exhibited collaborative skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple customers and processes simultaneously.
