POSITION SUMMARY:


The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere. This position emphasizes our core values and guiding principles across all store functions, including overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management
  • Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Sets clear expectations and holds the team accountable for meeting brand standards and performance metrics.
  • Manages payroll and inventory budgets efficiently.
  • Oversees essential operational tasks, including scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and payroll accuracy.
  • Ensures all financial transactions are conducted in accordance with company policies, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Maintains compliance with relevant laws and loss prevention policies; provides training to associates on proper procedures.
  • Administers operational processes, including inventory management and daily replenishment of merchandise.
  • Ensures the store's visual presentation and maintenance reflect the brand's image.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to achieve set sales and productivity goals.
  • Trains and mentors the team to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.

Team Development
  • Inspires and motivates the store team, creating a shared vision while exemplifying core values.
  • Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively with the team and Store Manager to facilitate positive changes.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal development and actively seeks feedback to enhance leadership skills.

Customer Engagement
  • Models and promotes exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Demonstrates sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers in their selections.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensures a smooth and efficient checkout process, staying informed on payment policies and procedures.
  • Maintains consistent communication with clients through various engagement strategies.

Talent Management
  • Assists in recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
  • Supports and follows up on training initiatives and development programs.
  • Evaluates and coaches team performance regularly.
  • Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve HR issues efficiently.
  • Encourages team engagement by recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Ensures adherence to all employment policies and practices.

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. This role may exist across various brands, and specific duties may differ.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in retail management preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to adapt to company-provided technology
Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Familiarity with the administrative aspects of retail operations
Ability to engage effectively with customers and staff
Regular attendance is essential for meeting company objectives, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Regular climbing as part of operational duties
