Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Assistance: Support the hiring process by scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and managing applicant tracking systems. Collaborate with staffing agencies as needed.
  • New Hire Orientation: Conduct weekly orientations for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Offboarding Procedures: Manage administrative tasks related to the exit process for departing employees.
  • Internal HR Communication: Facilitate communication within the HR department, including employee announcements.
  • Benefits Management: Assist in communicating employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans, and manage related administrative tasks.
  • Leave Management: Oversee all leave requests and maintain accurate records of leave hours.
  • Workers' Compensation: Collect necessary documentation for workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Unemployment Claims: Manage unemployment claims processes.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with the HR Supervisor to address employee relations matters.
  • Engagement Activities: Organize employee events and activities, including logistics for food and supplies.
  • HR Projects: Support various HR initiatives and projects, working closely with team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a human resources role or similar position.
  • Skills: Strong time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines; familiarity with relevant laws and best practices; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work with occasional light exertion.
  • Ability to analyze data at close range.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
