Position Overview

Cornwell Quality Tools stands as a premier manufacturer of mobile tools distributed through franchise owners. With a century-long legacy, we are the most enduring mobile tool enterprise catering directly to professional technicians across the nation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment Assistance: Facilitate the hiring process by scheduling interviews for designated roles, coordinating with candidates, managing all pre-employment tasks, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Collaborate with staffing agencies as needed.
  • New Hire Orientation: Conduct weekly orientations for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Offboarding Procedures: Manage administrative duties related to employee separations and exit protocols.
  • Internal HR Communication: Aid in disseminating internal HR announcements and updates to staff.
  • Benefits Management: Assist in communicating employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Oversee departmental bills and mail distribution.
  • Leave Management: Process all leave requests and monitor leave hours.
  • Workers' Compensation: Compile necessary paperwork for workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Unemployment Claims: Manage unemployment claims processes.
  • Employee Relations: Support employee relations initiatives in collaboration with the HR Supervisor.
  • Engagement Activities: Organize employee events, including benefits-related activities, ensuring all supplies and catering are arranged.
  • HR Projects: Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives, working alongside HR team members to fulfill objectives.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks or adapt initiatives to meet business needs.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years in a human resources role or similar position.
Skills
  • Exceptional time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Primarily sedentary work involving minimal physical exertion.
  • Ability to analyze data at close range.
Work Environment
  • Tasks are performed in a setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
