Role Overview: The HR Coordinator is responsible for managing human resource functions within the organization, providing support to the HR Manager and the HR Department in various employee-related programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR Manager in executing HR initiatives and perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Facilitate learning and development programs, including orientation for new hires.
  • Maintain and update personnel files and confidential records.
  • Monitor daily attendance for hourly employees and manage records of new hires and terminations.
  • Process and maintain employee data, including personal information, compensation, benefits, and attendance records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations by filing necessary documentation and serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries.

Employee Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with employees and management, ensuring a high level of confidentiality and integrity. Provide guidance on HR policies and maintain up-to-date employee communication materials.


HRIS Management: Verify and process time information weekly to ensure accurate payroll processing. Maintain employee records in HRIS systems and follow up with management on attendance accuracy.


Staffing Support: Assist in recruitment efforts, including managing job applications, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.


Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs and policies. Work collaboratively with team members to address issues and promote a cohesive work environment.


Operational Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the company's operational systems and policies, ensuring adherence to quality and security standards.


Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as required to support business objectives.


Physical Requirements: Ability to enter and locate information on a computer, communicate effectively with employees, and navigate a manufacturing environment.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources with a solid understanding of HR policies and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience in the food processing industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • SPHR Certification is a plus.
