KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment Assistance: Support the hiring process by scheduling interviews for designated roles, coordinating with candidates, managing pre-employment tasks, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Collaborate with staffing agencies as needed.
  • New Hire Orientation: Conduct weekly orientation sessions for newly hired employees and ensure all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Employee Offboarding: Manage administrative duties related to the offboarding process for departing employees.
  • Internal HR Communication: Aid in disseminating internal HR announcements and updates to staff.
  • Benefits Management: Assist in communicating employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. Oversee departmental billing and mail distribution.
  • Leave Management: Process all leave requests and maintain accurate records of leave hours.
  • Workers' Compensation: Compile necessary documentation for workers' compensation claims related to workplace incidents.
  • Unemployment Claims: Manage and process unemployment claims as required.
  • Employee Relations: Support employee relations initiatives and collaborate closely with the HR Supervisor.
  • Engagement Activities: Organize employee engagement events, including the procurement of food and supplies.
  • HR Projects: Contribute to various HR projects and initiatives, working alongside team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a human resources role or a similar capacity.

Skills:

  • Strong time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves sedentary work, primarily sitting, with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires close visual analysis of data.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in a setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
