Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing recruitment support, conducting new hire orientations, and handling administrative tasks related to employee offboarding and exit processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process, scheduling interviews for assigned positions, coordinating with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Work with staffing agencies to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Orientation: Conduct weekly new hire orientations for all new employees and gather necessary paperwork to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Offboarding: Handle administrative tasks related to employee offboarding and exit processes, ensuring a professional and respectful departure for all employees.
  • HR Communication: Assist with internal HR communications, including announcements to employees, to keep them informed and engaged.
  • Benefits Administration: Support the communication of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Handle bills related to HR, including distributing mail.
  • Leave of Absences: Handle all leave requests and track leave hours to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Workers Comp: Gather all necessary workers' compensation paperwork for accidents and injuries that occur on the job.
  • Unemployment: Handle unemployment claims to ensure a smooth process for all employees.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with employee relations and work directly with the HR Supervisor to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Employee Engagement Activities: Handle all employee events, including benefits, and order food and supplies as needed.
  • HR Projects: Support HR-related projects and initiatives, collaborating with the HR team to achieve objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred in human resources or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a human resource position or similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent time management skills, familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary work involving sitting and occasional exertion of 10 pounds or less.
  • Work Environment: Duties are performed under physical conditions with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
