KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment Assistance: Support the hiring process by scheduling interviews for designated roles, coordinating with candidates, managing pre-employment tasks, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. Collaborate with staffing agencies as needed.
  • New Hire Orientation: Facilitate weekly orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring all required documentation is collected.
  • Employee Offboarding: Manage administrative responsibilities related to the offboarding and exit processes of employees.
  • Internal HR Communication: Aid in the dissemination of internal HR announcements and communications to staff.
  • Benefits Management: Assist in communicating employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. Manage HR-related bills and distribute mail within the department.
  • Leave Management: Oversee all leave requests and monitor leave hours for employees.
  • Workers' Compensation: Compile necessary paperwork for workers' compensation claims related to workplace incidents.
  • Unemployment Claims: Process unemployment claims as required.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with the HR Supervisor to address employee relations matters.
  • Engagement Activities: Organize employee engagement events, including the procurement of food and supplies.
  • HR Projects: Support various HR initiatives and projects, working closely with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role or similar capacity.

Skills:

  • Strong time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in HR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, with a willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves sedentary work, primarily sitting, with occasional light exertion.
  • Requires close visual analysis of data.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in an environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
