Role Description

This is a full-time on-site, hybrid or remote role for a Vice President of Sales and Business Development. The VP will be responsible for managing and overseeing all sales activities, including sales operations, sales management, account management, and business development. This role will require building and maintaining relationships with clients, developing sales strategies, and building and leading a sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the energy drink sector.
  • Identify, target, and establish relationships with key retail partners, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and specialty retailers, to secure shelf space and promote product visibility.
  • Responsible for delivering volume and distribution growth of our brands within the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for delivering monthly sales KPI's to leadership team.
  • Visit assigned retail accounts to pitch new products, drive sales volume, increase distribution of products, and monitor price and shelf space management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, sales materials, and brand positioning strategies to enhance product appeal and drive consumer demand.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, using insights to adjust sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in driving commercialization of brand positioning, innovation, consumer communications / messaging and shopper marketing to deliver brand objectives via clear direction / guidance and effective resource allocation decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, board members, and strategic partners, providing regular updates on sales performance and business development progress.
  • Ensure all sales and distribution activities comply with industry regulations and standards, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and corporate governance.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, setting clear performance objectives and providing ongoing support and development to achieve sales targets.

Experience Desired

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales / Distribution in the Food/Beverage, or related industry.
  • Candidate should have a blend of experiences and skills across Marketing, Commercialization, Financial Management and Operations and should thrive on teamwork and know how to champion a brand and motivate both internal and external partners.
  • Proven track record in driving sales and achieving targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Experience in the energy drink or beverage industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust.
  • High Energy, Self-Motivated, Professional Business Acumen, Strong Communicator, Organization and Planning Skills, Analytical Skill Set (Sales Intelligence, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to Work Flexible, non-traditional hours.
