Overview:

Dematic is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our commercial operations in the western region. This strategic role reports directly to the SVP of Sales, Americas, and is crucial for shaping and executing Dematic's sales strategy across a range of complex and integrated projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the achievement of business objectives for the Western Business Unit.
  • Act as the primary business leader, communicating and implementing strategies across various regional functions to meet annual goals.
  • Define and execute strategic initiatives that align with the organization's overarching goals.
  • Collaborate to establish systematic methods for identifying, prioritizing, and closing key opportunities and accounts.
  • Lead sales efforts targeting specific markets with a defined Dematic Solution Strategy, addressing customer automation needs.
  • Work closely with regional Business Development and Sales teams to create a focused pipeline that meets order intake targets.
  • Guide and educate customers and sales account managers on operational metrics and solution offerings to foster trusted advisor relationships.
  • Partner with Dematic's concepting and R&D teams to assess needs and direct prospects toward standard solutions.
  • Assist account managers with complex sales proposals and negotiations.
  • Utilize customer insights to uncover business opportunities and develop strategies.
  • Engage with other regional sales teams to pursue high-visibility opportunities.
  • Build credibility and trust with a diverse range of leaders, including internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Drive initiatives while holding teams accountable for results and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Act as an executive member of the regional sales staff, driving initiatives as directed by the SVP of Sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics and automation, with at least 5 years in an executive role.
  • Experience in the front end of the business is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of Distribution Center operations.
  • Proficient in analyzing performance metrics and technology development planning.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of driving change within a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
