The Maintenance Guest Service Representative (GSR) plays a vital role in ensuring the overall aesthetics and functionality of the hotel premises, adhering to the established Maintenance guidelines and inspection protocols. This position is essential for delivering high-quality service to our guests while collaborating with hotel staff to maintain room standards and ensure the safety and security of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

- Foster positive relationships with guests and understand their service requirements.
- Adhere to hotel standards and procedures to oversee and uphold cleanliness, safety, and organization in guest rooms and communal areas.
- Manage the upkeep of landscaping, parking facilities, and the exterior appearance of the hotel, ensuring areas are free from litter and debris.
- Execute the Repair and Maintenance Program in guest rooms, performing routine tasks such as painting, caulking, and changing light fixtures.
- Conduct property inspections to identify current and potential maintenance needs, reporting findings to the Supervisor.
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by following established key and lock protocols.
- Gather necessary materials for assigned tasks and maintain the maintenance area in a clean and organized manner.
- Assist in cleaning and replacing bathroom lighting fixtures.
- Support Housekeeping GSRs in maintaining guest room standards.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding guest information and sensitive hotel data.
- Adapt to working in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Physically manage cleaning equipment and transport housekeeping carts, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations.
- Provide special services to guests upon request.
- Assist in other hotel departments as necessary, including laundry and housekeeping tasks.
- Conduct self-inspections of rooms and accept feedback from management regarding room quality assessments.
- Cross-train in other areas such as laundry, housekeeping, or front desk operations, if feasible.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or customer service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with general hand tools, lawnmowers, and landscaping equipment is highly desirable.
- Maintain a professional appearance in the provided uniform and exhibit a consistently friendly demeanor towards guests and staff.
- Ability to transition between tasks efficiently and work with minimal supervision.
- Frequent lifting and bending are required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.

Working Conditions:

- The physical environment may involve working both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Employees may encounter pets and are required to use personal protective equipment to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials. Regularly scheduled hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules subject to business needs.

Physical Requirements:

- While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to communicate effectively. Frequent standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks are necessary. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. Employees must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
