The Maintenance Guest Service Representative (GSR) plays a vital role in ensuring the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the hotel premises. This position is essential for delivering exceptional service to our guests while adhering to the hotel's maintenance protocols and inspection standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with guests and anticipate their service requirements.
  • Adhere to established hotel procedures to oversee and sustain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of guest accommodations and communal areas.
  • Maintain the landscaping, parking facilities, and overall exterior appearance of the property, ensuring all areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Execute the Repair and Maintenance Program for guest rooms, performing essential maintenance tasks such as painting, caulking, and changing light fixtures.
  • Conduct property inspections to identify current and potential maintenance needs, reporting findings to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises by following key management protocols.
  • Procure necessary materials for assigned tasks and maintain a clean and organized maintenance workspace.
  • Assist housekeeping staff in the upkeep of guest rooms as needed.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of guest information and sensitive hotel data.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Physically manage cleaning equipment and transport supplies, lifting up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Provide specialized services to guests upon request.
  • Support other hotel departments as necessary, including laundry and housekeeping tasks.
  • Participate in self-inspections and accept constructive feedback from management regarding room quality.
  • Cross-train in other hotel functions such as laundry and front desk operations when possible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general hand tools and maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a friendly demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to shift between tasks efficiently and work independently.
  • Frequent lifting and bending are integral to the role.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Working Environment:

This position may involve working in both indoor and outdoor settings, subject to varying weather conditions. Employees may encounter pets and are required to utilize personal protective equipment to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials. Regular shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules adapting to business demands.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this role, employees are frequently required to communicate effectively, stand, walk, and use their hands for various tasks. The role may require occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing. Employees must be capable of lifting or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities necessary for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 17 years or older.
  • Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.
