Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with guests, addressing their service needs promptly.

  • Manage the upkeep of landscaping, parking facilities, and the exterior appearance of the property, ensuring all areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Execute the Repair and Maintenance Program for guest rooms, performing routine tasks such as painting, caulking, and changing light fixtures.
  • Conduct property inspections to identify and report maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by following key and lock protocols.
  • Gather necessary materials for assigned projects and maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
  • Assist in the upkeep of guest rooms in collaboration with Housekeeping GSRs.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel operations.
  • Work effectively in varying environmental conditions.
  • Handle physical tasks, including operating cleaning equipment and transporting supplies (up to 50 lbs), while performing various movements throughout the shift.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations.
  • Provide special assistance to guests upon request.
  • Support other hotel departments as needed, including laundry and housekeeping tasks.
  • Conduct self-inspections of rooms and accept feedback from management regarding quality standards.
  • Cross-train in various hotel functions, including laundry and front desk operations, if feasible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general maintenance tools and landscaping equipment is highly desirable.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in the provided uniform and exhibit a consistently friendly demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Frequent lifting and bending are essential components of the role.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Working Environment:

This position may involve working in both indoor and outdoor settings, which may expose the employee to varying weather conditions. The role may also involve interaction with pets, and the use of personal protective equipment is necessary to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials. Regularly scheduled hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with schedules adjusted based on operational needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to communicate effectively, stand, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks. The role may also require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must be capable of lifting or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision capabilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • 17 years or older.
  • Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.
