Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Maintenance Representative to join our team at Red Roof Inns, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall appearance and functionality of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general appearance of the hotel, including the interior and exterior of the building, grounds, and landscaping.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, caulking, carpet/floor cleaning, and changing light bulbs.
  • Inspect the property to identify current and potential needs and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining guest rooms, including cleaning and replacing vanity/bathroom lights.
  • Provide special services for guests upon request.
  • Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, such as collecting/delivering dirty linen to laundry, assisting with laundry, or housekeeping as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or customer service position.
  • Knowledge of general hand tools/equipment, lawnmowers, and landscaping tools/equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and exert physical effort in operating cleaning equipment and transporting housekeeping carts (up to 50lbs).
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance in the provided uniform with a consistently friendly attitude toward guests and staff.
  • Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another and work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

The physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The position may come into contact with pets, and the employee is required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
