We are currently in search of a skilled Industrial Laundry Equipment Technician to take charge of the maintenance and repair of our extensive range of industrial textile processing machinery.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Industrial Laundry Equipment Technician will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various commercial laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and boilers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues, with a strong understanding of steam and thermal systems.
- Diagnosing equipment problems, replacing or repairing components, and conducting tests to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining and servicing water treatment plant machinery, including pumps, valves, and motors.
- Installing and overhauling pumps and specialized water treatment equipment.
- Fabricating parts and utilizing welding and cutting tools for repairs.
- Conducting inspections of newly installed equipment to verify safe and efficient operation.
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Managing maintenance requests to minimize equipment downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory for parts and materials.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in laundry maintenance or a similar field.
- Extensive knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with 3-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with various laundry equipment and systems is preferred.
- Compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications.
Working ConditionsThis position involves working in both indoor and outdoor environments typical of an industrial laundry facility, with exposure to various machinery and environmental factors.
