Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and repair of assigned facilities, properties, and equipment.

Compensation

The starting pay for this role is $22.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine repairs on company facilities and properties.
  • Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform basic electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, light switches, fixtures, and bulbs.
  • Handle basic drywall repairs such as patching holes, sanding, texturing, and painting.
  • Execute basic plumbing repairs, including clearing drains and replacing faucets, shower heads, and toilet mounts.
  • Carry out basic carpentry and masonry repairs, including fixing cabinets, shelving, and stucco.
  • Paint and touch up rooms as necessary.
  • Occasionally install new flooring in various rooms.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on facilities and properties, including replacing air and furnace filters, smoke alarms, and water filters.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned company assets, including vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist in preparing rooms for new client intakes by assembling and placing furniture.
  • Ensure the security of facilities and properties by managing keys, codes, and combinations responsibly.
  • Lock up facilities and properties as required.
  • Engage in team projects as needed.
  • Clear out vacated rooms of previous client belongings and trash to prepare for repairs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including email communication and data summarization in spreadsheets.
  • Valid CA Driver's License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
  • Willingness to be trained on heavy equipment such as forklifts and man lifts.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
