Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
- Setting up, testing, and operating hemodialysis machines for patient treatments
- Obtaining and documenting necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient
- Evaluating vascular access pre-treatment and performing vascular access cannulation
- Monitoring patients' response to dialysis therapy
- Reporting any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor
- Entering all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required)
- Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the Fresenius Medical Care dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification
- A competitive rate of pay, ranging from $14 to $22 per hour
