Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints to determine the appropriate process and equipment for projects.
  • Determine Process and Equipment: Determine the appropriate process and equipment for projects based on blueprints.
  • Weld Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals: Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals together using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW procedures.
  • Complete Projects: Complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Assist with Facility Maintenance: Assist with various facility maintenance tasks.
  • Follow Safety Policies: Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Have Excellent Attendance: Have excellent attendance and be punctual.
  • Wear PPE: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 3-5 Years Welding Experience: 3-5 years of welding experience or training through a credited welding school.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Pipe Welding: Ability to pipe weld.
  • Weld Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum: Ability to weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Work with Minimal Supervision: Ability to work with minimal supervision when necessary.
  • Willing to Cross Train: Willing to cross train and perform industrial mechanical maintenance as needed.
  • Willing to Travel: Willing to travel to various locations throughout NY and PA as needed.
  • Flexible Hours: Flexible in hours - overtime, out-of-town work, and weekend hours may be necessary.
  • Experienced with Electrical/Manual Hand Tools: Experienced working with electrical/manual hand tools.
  • Work from Heights: Willing to work from heights with proper equipment and PPE.
  • Attentive to Detail: Be attentive to detail and ensure high-quality work.
  • Pass Inhouse Welding Test: Pass an inhouse welding test.
  • Obtain DOT Physical Card: Obtain a DOT physical card.
  • Obtain OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Certificate: Obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Certificate.
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Screening: Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.
  • Background Check: A background check will be conducted.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift Up to 50 Pounds: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Observe PPE Requirements: Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements.
  • Work in Noisy Area: Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present.
  • Bending, Stretching, Stooping, Kneeling, Crawling, and Squatting: Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and squatting.
  • Work from Heights: Work from heights with proper equipment and PPE.
Other Preferred Qualities:
  • Read and Understand SDS: Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High School diploma or equivalent - a two-year technical degree is preferred.
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills.
