Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist for our esteemed client.

Position Title: Customer Support Specialist

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: $13/hr - $18/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for callers, adhering to client guidelines while addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to claims and service processes.
  • Provide customers with comprehensive information through various communication channels regarding necessary documentation for claim processing, timelines, payment details, and claim statuses.
  • Inform members and providers about client requirements and benefit plans, ensuring all call details are documented accurately and professionally.
  • Input verbal and written application data into the claims management system, ensuring compliance with both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Allocate new claims to the designated claims handler.
  • Guide customer calls to the correct contact at different locations or escalate to Service Center Specialists or management when necessary.
  • Maintain attendance during scheduled working hours.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to the organization's quality assurance programs.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Completion of college courses is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year in customer service and claims handling or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience in an inbound call center is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and claims management processes.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Adept at supporting multiple clients across various communication channels while utilizing different systems concurrently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting or independently.
  • Capability to meet or surpass performance expectations.
