Client Support Specialist

Library Systems & Services is seeking a committed Client Support Specialist to deliver exceptional assistance for a Common Data Elements (CDE) Repository. This platform is essential for enhancing the discovery and utilization of common data elements in biomedical research initiatives. The Client Support Specialist will uphold high customer service standards, address user inquiries promptly, and prioritize user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide users in exploring the CDE Repository, including the submission of new CDE collections.
- Assist users with account registration and management.
- Respond to inquiries from users and stakeholders regarding CDE, forms, and repository functionalities.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of training materials for CDE users and maintain user guides.
- Provide feedback and evaluate new features and functionalities of the platform, including the classification of CDEs, concept-based browsing, and the identification and resolution of duplicate CDEs.
- Offer constructive feedback to submitters to enhance the quality of their contributions.
- Follow and assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, developers, curators, submitters, and end users.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as information science, computer science, biomedical informatics, or health sciences.
- Over 3 years of experience in customer service or quality assurance roles.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong customer-oriented skills, including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with common data elements, metadata standards, controlled vocabularies, and data management practices in biomedical research.
- Proficiency in utilizing web-based platforms and tools, such as content management systems and data validation tools.

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex concepts in straightforward terms.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive mindset towards identifying and resolving issues, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
