Role Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide assistance to our HHS Client in Bethesda, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address internal and external client inquiries, delivering technical support and training to end users, including high-profile individuals.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues; escalate complex problems as necessary.
  • Set up and configure peripheral devices such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and storage drives.
  • Install and configure operating systems and applications on Windows and Mac platforms.
  • Document, track, and manage customer requests to ensure prompt resolutions using Service Now.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, and user-related issues, recommending procedural adjustments or taking corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with essential computer hardware, including Dell systems, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Proficient in desktop operating systems, including various versions of Windows and Mac OS.
  • Extensive experience in application support, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, focusing on building rapport and effective listening.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as A+, MCSE, or MCP in current Microsoft technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Professional.
  • Knowledge of Citrix and Cisco VPN support.
  • Extensive experience with SharePoint.
  • Proven experience in mentoring junior technical staff.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected salary range for this position is between $56,000 and $76,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
