Role Overview: The Lead Sales Executive will oversee the B2B sector, specifically focusing on Bakery and Ingredients within the designated territory. This role requires a strategic approach to monitor and enhance distribution networks while fostering infrastructure development to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the existing distribution framework.
  • Expand the distribution network by recruiting sales personnel to target unserved Bakeries.
  • Facilitate Bakery conversions through organized product trials.
  • Broaden the product range offered to Bakers, including Bakery Fats, Ingredients, and Margarines.
  • Establish cold chain logistics for Whip topping products.
  • Develop market strategies aimed at achieving consistent growth over the next several years.

Performance Metrics:

  • Achieve targeted sales volumes.
  • Supervise third-party sales personnel effectively.
  • Utilize Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Distribution Management Systems (DMS) to drive efficiency.
  • Monitor annual volume growth compared to previous years in the Bakery and Ingredients sectors.
  • Minimize expired stock levels to zero.

Management Skills:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the secondary market and customer dynamics.
  • Demonstrate strong market awareness and team leadership capabilities.
  • Exhibit basic knowledge of baking processes, particularly regarding fats and ingredients.
  • Display excellent negotiation skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Utilize analytical skills to interpret data and guide the team towards achieving business objectives.

Key Relationships:

  • Engage with distributors, super stockists, and logistics teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with support functions, senior management, and marketing teams.
  • Ensure timely reporting and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate with relevant technical knowledge to engage customers effectively.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Fats & Ingredients sector.
  • Proficiency in local languages, Hindi, and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong computer skills are essential.
