Position Overview:
Block is seeking a skilled Regulatory Examination Analyst with a solid background in federally regulated financial institutions. In this role, you will offer organizational and substantive support to the Regulatory Team, develop new systems and procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders within Block. This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing legal team addressing important regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary mission will be to uphold Block's lending commitments during federal regulatory examinations. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing an examination program that meets our legal and regulatory obligations while minimizing the impact on business operations.
- Assisting in the preparation of all examination requests and inquiries, reviewing document and data requests, and coordinating responses from various team members.
- Supporting project planning and tracking for any necessary remediation efforts.
- Ensuring that documentation provided in response to requests is thorough and accurate.
- Managing data input and organization within the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) system, including workflow management and deadline setting.
- Collaborating with the Regulatory Examination Project Manager to address and resolve any issues that arise.
- Tracking, interpreting, and operationalizing legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of direct experience with federal regulatory examinations (FDIC, FRB, OCC, or CFPB) and familiarity with bank partnership lending models.
- Knowledge of lending regulations, banking regulations, and best practices within the financial services industry.
- Experience in creating and implementing operational efficiencies, including the development and maintenance of a GRC tool.
- Strong organizational, process, and project management skills.
- The ability to clearly interpret and communicate legal and regulatory obligations across various disciplines and levels.
