Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver financial analyses and recommendations pertaining to expense forecasting and recovery for regulatory processes by engaging with various functional departments.
  • Examine expenditure patterns and cost classifications to gain insights into how different expenses and trends influence financial outcomes and future service costs.
  • Review and interpret third-party testimonies, regulatory submissions, pleadings, agreements, and rulings; assist in formulating strategies to counter testimony, design new proposals, and conduct analyses for regulatory submissions.
  • Act as a witness, witness assistant, or subject matter expert for moderately complex cost recovery matters, including crafting persuasive testimony, workpapers, and responses to inquiries.
  • Generate impactful analyses to support critical initiatives such as settlement discussions, workshops, and external requests.
  • Establish and manage financial control documents and regulatory adjustments that underpin regulatory filings and revenue requirement assessments.
  • Execute, assess, and formulate the General Rate Case expense regulatory values in alignment with regulatory decisions.
  • Offer analytical support for essential regulatory compliance submissions.
  • Design and deliver training sessions for business partners.
  • Create effective presentation materials to assist leadership in decision-making or to highlight significant issues.
  • Develop and document processes, guidelines, standards, and models. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that involve collaboration with peers on process efficiencies and controls.
