Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Examination Analyst with a background in federally regulated financial institutions. In this role, you will provide both organizational and substantive support to the Regulatory Team, develop new systems and procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders within Block. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing legal team while addressing significant regulatory issues.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with Block's lending obligations during federal regulatory examinations. Key duties include:

  • Overseeing the examination management process, ensuring it meets legal and regulatory standards while minimizing impact on business operations.
  • Coordinating the preparation of examination requests, reviewing document and data inquiries, and liaising with relevant team members to gather necessary information.
  • Supporting remediation project planning and tracking efforts.
  • Ensuring the adequacy of documentation provided in response to regulatory requests.
  • Managing data input and organization within the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) repository, including workflow management and deadline setting.
  • Collaborating with the Regulatory Examination Project Manager to address and resolve any arising issues.
  • Tracking and interpreting legal and regulatory requirements to operationalize them effectively.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience with federal regulatory examinations (FDIC, FRB, OCC, or CFPB) and familiarity with bank partnership lending models.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations, banking regulations, and best practices within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in creating and implementing operational efficiencies, including the development and maintenance of a GRC tool.
  • Strong organizational, process, and project management skills.
  • The ability to clearly interpret and communicate legal and regulatory obligations across various disciplines and levels.
