YOUR ROLE
Provide administrative review and support (analyzing, processing and reporting) in the Customs compliance areas of internal compliance assessments, import or export compliance procedure manuals, classification, valuation, NAFTA, C-TPAT and various Customs programs in accordance with company policy, U.S. and international laws and regulatory requirements. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
· Review and analyze the Customs compliance areas, import or export compliance procedure manuals, classification, valuation, NAFTA, C-TPAT and various Customs programs to ensure compliance requirements are met.
· Review and analyze client information to determine compliance requirements.
· Research and analyze the relationship between government agency requirements or Customs special programs affecting a compliance project.
· Assist in facilitating communications with the client or client representative to obtain required information associated with the execution of compliance related projects.
· Ensure all regulatory communications/updates are received, summarized, catalogued, disseminated and acted upon.
· Record and maintain all client communication in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
· Provide weekly project status reports and updates to the project manager and the client.
· Provide supervisor with appropriate client billing information.
· Communicate with project manager regarding project concerns or issues.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience
· High School Degree or GED required.
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program.
· Minimum four years related experience.
· Minimum three years industry experience.
Certifications and Licenses
· Customs Brokers License required.
